Danny Ives is coming to York

Danny Ives will be visiting the York Mixed Martial Arts Academy on March 1st 2008 (Saturday) to teach a three hour seminar dedicated to both Gi and No Gi grappling techniques. The first part of the seminar will be focused on Gi work (i.e. chokes, sweeps, passes) followed by a short break. The second half of the seminar will consist of No Gi basic, semi advanced & advanced submissions. Danny currently operates out of the Lloyd Irvin Academy in the D.C area. He is a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and is a 15 year veteran in the world of Martial Arts. Y. M.M.A.A director and head instructor George McGinnis will be hosting the event and has worked with Mr. Ives many times in the past. When talking with George, here are some of the things mentioned about Mr. ives.

"Working with Danny has and continues to be an awesome experience. His attention to technical detail and technique variations make him first class. By working with Mr. Ives over the past year I have been able to improve not only my over all grappling ability and knowledge, but it has made me an even better instructor. If your ever within an hour or two of Danny Ives and don’t take the time out to train with him, I can’t suggest how much your missing out on. His demeanor and instructional habits alone make him unique and distinguishable from others that I have trained with in the past. I as well as others are very fortu nate to work with him."
