About Our School

Michael Weisensee relocated to Lancaster County from Western Pennsylvania in 1995. He first opened an ATA/ Karate 4 Kids school where he taught traditional Taekwondo at the Hempfield Sports Complex.

In 1999, the school moved to Nolt Road and the name was changed to the Lancaster Family Martial Arts Center. In addition to the name change was a shift in curriculum from traditional Taekwondo to Hapkido. The change in style was to better prepare the students for real life encounters. Fitness Kickboxing classes were also added.

In 2002, LFMAC once again relocated to the Hempfield Shopping Center in Landisville. It was here that Mr. Weisensee added Combat Conditioning, Krav Maga/F.I.G.H.T., Jeet Kune Do and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to his curriculum.

On January 1, 2007, LFMAC moved to it's present location in Mountville. Located near the corporate offices of Clipper Magazine, the 4200 sq. ft. building is equipped with locker rooms and showers. The training room opens to a large patio, yard and pond, perfect for outdoor training.

The goal of Mr. Weisensee and all the instructors at LFMAC is for students to develop practical self defense skills that enables them to live their lives in peace.
