Hapkido (the Way of Coordinated Power) is a Korean, self-defense system. A student of Hapkido learns how to strike, kick, block, throw, sweep, choke, and joint lock. Hapkido teaches defenses against both armed and unarmed assailants.

Developed by Master Geoff Booth of Sydney, Australia, our style of Hapkido is one of a kind. Kwan Nyom ("School of Concepts") Hapkido teaches students to explore self-defense concepts, not individual techniques as do more traditional systems. There are no forms (or kata) in Hapkido. Our emphasis is on self-defense before art or sport.
